BUSOM present their main show of the year, a Roman comedy, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.

“A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum” follows the inhabitants of a street in Rome – Erronius, an old man; Marcus Lycus, a buyer and seller of courtesans; and Senex, his wife Domina and their son Hero.

While Erronius searches for his long-lost children and Domina takes Senex to visit her mother, Hero falls in love with Philia, a courtesan of Marcus Lycus’. Pseudolus, Hero’s slave, must use his wits to secure Philia for his master and so buy his freedom. But time is against him – at any moment, Captain Miles Gloriosus, Philia’s buyer, may arrive to claim his virgin.
